HYPERTRIGLYCERIDEMIA SYNDROME: A CASE REPORT
Abstract
Severe hypertriglyceridemia is associated with a number of severe diseases such as acute pancreatitis, coronary artery disease and hepatosplenomegaly. The treatment aims at rapidly decreasing the serum triglyceride level; the treatment includes reduced fat diet, hypoglycemic agents, option for the treatment of acute pancreatitis and for the prevention of relapses when the clinical treatment fails, and it must be done as soon as possible.
