Guidelines for Authors
Submission Categories:
Colloquium Exactarum accepts contributions from the various sub-areas of Exact Sciences and Engineering only in the original article category. Articles must be written in Portuguese or English and must be in accordance with the instructions presented below, which are based on the guidelines of the Brazilian Association of Techniques Norms (ABNT).
a) Original Articles: present results of research, development or reflection on current issues. They must present the fundamental concepts that allow their understanding, compare with other related works, explain their importance and or theoretical or practical applicability, presenting results and methodologies.
b) Review: present, in a comprehensive and didactic way, principles, terminology and concepts on a given subject, either introductory (do not require prior knowledge of the area of concentration) or advanced (presuppose prior knowledge on the subject). In order to submit a review article, it is essential that the author has publications that prove his experience and qualification in that area.
General Submission Instructions:
Authors:
All persons designated as authors must be responsible for the authorship of the article and have participated sufficiently in the work to assume public responsibility for its content. Authorship credit should be based only on substantial contributions during: (i) conception, planning, execution, analysis and interpretation of results, (ii) writing or revising the article in an intellectually important way, and (iii) final approval of the version a be published. Limited participation in fundraising, data collection, general supervision or head of a research group does not justify authorship.
Theoretical concepts and foundations, data, experiences, research sources and conclusions issued in signed works are the sole responsibility of its author (s). Papers submitted to Colloquium Exactarum will be subject to linguistic revision by reviewers and rapporteurs qualified by the Editorial Board, without losing the credit for authorship and the author's responsibility in relation to the work of intellectual creation.
Article Submission:
The submission of articles should be done electronically at http://journal.unoeste.br/index.php/ce
When submitting an article to Colloquium Exactarum, the submission letter (download) must be completed, signed and attached. The authors automatically declare to be aware and in accordance with the following conditions:
- The article was prepared based on precepts of scientific and ethical integrity;
- The article is original and is not and will not be submitted for publication in other journals while it is under evaluation by Colloquium Exactarum and also after its publication;
- The authors are responsible for the veracity of the information, for the orthographic and grammatical correction and for the adjustments to the Colloquium Exactarum norms. The ideas and concepts emitted represent only the opinions of the author (s);
- All authors agree with the publication of the article and declare that there is no conflict of interest of any kind;
- In case of approval, the authors automatically assign the copyright for publishing the article to Colloquium Exactarum.
The article must be in doc/docx or ODT format, with tables (xls/xlsx or ODS), figures (jpg), black and white graphics (xls/xlsx or ODS), schematic drawings (jpg) or photos (jpg ) with their titles and captions already inserted in their respective places in the text.
For better grammatical adequacy, the editors suggest looking for a professional to perform the spelling, grammatical and linguistic revision, whose contact and contracting of the services must be carried out by the authors themselves, preferably before the submission of the article.
Also, for a better adequacy of the mathematical/statistical analysis and presentation of the results, the editors suggest looking for a professional to carry out the analysis and guidance in this specific aspect.
Evaluation Process:
All articles submitted to Colloquium Exactarum that are in accordance with the “Guidelines for authors” and the editorial policy of the journal are analyzed by the Editorial Board as to their merit and scientific adequacy. From the initial approval, the article is sent to two or more external evaluators of recognized competence in the subject for their opinion (peer review), whose anonymity is guaranteed during the entire judgment process. The reviewers' suggestions are considered and the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the article is the responsibility of the Editors.
Accepted Manuscripts:
The entire published article becomes the property of Colloquium Exactarum and cannot be reproduced, republished or disseminated electronically without authorization and citation from the source. The Authors, after accepting their article for publication, automatically transfer their copyright to the Colloquium Exactarum. Because this journal is publicly accessible, the articles are free to use, with their own attributions, in educational and non-commercial applications.
For editorial reasons, the Editors reserve the right to make minor graphic or editorial changes to the text, without interfering with its content. Authors are made aware of changes (if any) in the opportunity to review the evidence before publication.
Contribution Format:
Articles submitted to Colloquium Exactarum must have between 10 and 20 pages and will be published electronically. The languages accepted by the magazine are Portuguese and English. The format of the article file when submitted must be in WORD or ODF (Open Document Format).
We advise authors to prepare the document carefully, both in its technical content and in its grammatical correction.
Authors must strictly follow the instructions contained in the article templates provided below, according to the journal's specific formats:

We inform that articles that are not prepared according to one of the models above will be automatically rejected by the journal's editors. These formats are necessary because during editing for publication, adjustments in formatting are necessary.
Archiving:
This magazine uses the LOCKSS system to create a file system distributed among participating libraries and allows libraries to create permanent magazine files for preservation and restoration.
Open Access Policy:
Colloquium Exactarum offers immediate Open Access to its content, without a blackout period, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge. Such access is associated with an increase in reading and citing an author's work. For more information on this approach, visit the Public Knowledge Project, a project that developed this system to improve the academic and public quality of research, distributing the Open Journal System (OJS) as well as other software to support the publicly accessible publication system. academic.
Fees for submission and publication of texts:
Colloquium Exactarum, published by the Universidade do Oeste Paulista - UNOESTE, does not charge any fee for published texts, nor for those submitted for evaluation, review, publication, distribution or download. The editorial board values the policy of free access to information.

3) Authors are allowed to publish and distribute their work online (eg in institutional repositories or on their personal page) at any point before or during the editorial process, as this can generate productive changes, as well as increase impact and citation of the published work.
